Oksana Lut, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and Andrey Bocharov, the Governor of the Volgograd Region, visited one of the leading enterprises in the Russian agro-industrial complex, NewBio, which specializes in the deep processing of corn. They toured the production facilities and inspected the operations.
In a modern laboratory, they tasted maltodextrin, glucose syrup, and ice cream that contain prebiotics produced by the company. A sugar-free summer dessert was also prepared in the company's application laboratory that was recently opened. This laboratory develops innovative solutions for creating new types of food products, including those for sports nutrition, dairy, and beverages.
Oksana Lut highlighted the development of NewBio, which has expanded the company's product range. In the past two years alone, the company has launched the production of prebiotics (soluble corn fiber «INTENSFLOR» and isomaltooligosaccharide), as well as a lactose-free Non-dairy creamer.
In addition, the company manufactures a diverse range of products including maltodextrin, dry glucose syrup, corn starch, glucose syrup, corn germ and gluten feed, which are in high demand in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and animal feed industries.
In 2024, the plant produced 138,900 tons of products, of which more than 12 % were exported. The enterprise is capable of processing 155,000 tons of corn annually.
